)-- The Radisson Hotel at Los Angeles Airport was presented with the Radisson 2010 Responsible Business Award. The hotel was selected from among all Radisson hotels in the Americas.
The Responsible Business Award is presented to the hotel that demonstrates extraordinary commitment to Responsible Business through ethical business practices, education, communication, community involvement and environmental responsibility. Thorsten Kirschke, chief operating officer, Carlson Hotels and president, Carlson Hotels, Americas and Beathe-Jeanette Lunde, executive vice president, People Development, Safety and Security, and Responsible Business, Carlson, presented the award to Cindy Boulton, general manager of the Radisson Hotel at Los Angeles Airport at Carlson’s recent Global Business Conference for their achievement.
The Radisson LAX is the first hotel within the Radisson brand to achieve Green Seal certification. The hotel is also participating in the California Green Lodging Program at the Leadership Level, and has achieved a 4-Key rating in the Green Key Eco-Rating Program. The hotel has shown a commitment to environmental practices through recycling and reuse, water conservation, and energy efficiency.
