Interlaken, Switzerland, March 09, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Running from 26th March through to 23rd April 2011, Interlaken Classics is a show that mixes new up and coming talent from the world of classical music with current heavyweights to give audiences a scintillating series of evenings.
As perhaps the oldest event of its kind in Switzerland, the classical festival of music is now celebrating its 51st edition and this year performances promise to be as good as its predecessors. Premier billed performances include those from one of the world’s, and certainly America’s most renowned baritone, Thomas Hampson.
Raising the baton to bring the best out of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra will be the music director for the Paris Opera, Philippe Jordan. Other key performances will be the uplifting European Union Youth Orchestra along with several solo recitals to ensure the concerts have something for all classical music tastes.
Attending audience members should be sure to book Interlaken hotels
near to the Casino Kursaal Interlaken where the festival will take place but due to the quality of the artists taking part tickets and places at hotels are set to be selling out quickly.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: “The shows are always popular as hotels in the area are also sure to be, so anyone needing accommodation during that time should search online to reserve places well in advance.”
