Safelincs Add DALI Technology to Extensive Range of Emergency Lighting

A new range of Ringtail emergency lighting products available from Safelincs will incorporate DALI technology, making them versatile, cost effective and compatible with other systems customers may have installed.

Alford, United Kingdom, April 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Safelincs is the only authorised online distributor for emergency lighting from leading manufacturer Ringtail with over 450 items readily available.

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is an internationally recognised standard. Emergency lighting systems incorporating DALI technology enable a lighting designer or planner to assemble a full system with the advantage of being able to mix manufacturers’ emergency luminaries on each addressable system.

Emergency lighting is an essential element of fire safety protection in any commercial or public building and potentially saves lives in emergencies. Ringtail products reduce the costly drain on an organisation’s resources with a range of low energy, long life, high efficiency, low maintenance lighting.

Self-test emergency lighting is fitted with a system that automatically conducts periodic tests to ensure that the unit is fully functioning. If a fault is detected an audio / visual warning is triggered, negating the need for costly visits from engineers. A full range of self-test emergency exit fire escape sign blades, emergency exit fire escape sign boxes and emergency lighting bulkheads is available from Safelincs.

Many products use high performance LED’s which have a design life of ten years and also incorporate microprocessor monitors to measure all basic operation circuitry automatically and without any intervention.

Units carry out self-tests that reduce the demand on the maintenance schedules over the lifetime of the product. The use of LED’s is energy saving and, with less heat produced, allows for greater flexibility in design and a more aesthetically pleasing layout.

“Combining self-testing and LED technology creates an opportunity for customers to buy and fit emergency lighting that is low maintenance and cost-saving,” explains Harry Dewick-Eisele, managing director, Safelincs.
