NC State Jenkins MBA Team Earns Second Place in ACG Cup Competition

Five MBA Students Participate in Association for Corporate Growth Raleigh Durham Chapter’s Second Annual Competition.

Raleigh, NC, March 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The NC State Jenkins MBA program (http://mgt.ncsu.edu/mba/) in the Poole College of Management has announced that a team of five students earned second place in the Association for Corporate Growth’s (ACG) Raleigh Durham Chapter’s Cup Competition on Feb. 26. MBA students Jessica Barnes, AJ Kramer, Adam Leath, Gulcin Menekse and Terry Munroe competed for top honors at the case study competition designed to provide students from MBA programs with real-world experience with mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity. The Jenkins MBA team was honored for having the most polished presentation despite this being its first year to compete. Teams from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, Meredith College School of Business, UNC Kenan-Flagler School of Business, and Wake Forest University Babcock Graduate School of Business also participated in the ACG Cup.

- With each case study, student teams had to present valuation, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions advice to a seasoned panel of professionals within the ACG community. The winning team was awarded the ACG Cup title and cash awards.
