)-- GreenTech Energy Services of Maple Shade, N.J., which provides lighting retrofits for commercial facilities, has been added to the portfolio of screened, certified vendors for CAN DO Energy Solutions, a program created by the economic development agency of Greater Hazelton, Pennsylvania.
CAN DO provides businesses with free-of-charge access to qualified, pre-screened vendors in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in addition to access to low-interest funding (grants, loans and rebates) to help companies implement projects that will save or reduce fossil fuel-based energy. Additionally, all providers in the portfolio will complete the Act 129 energy rebate paperwork for their clients.
"CAN DO’s goal is to make energy efficiency and energy savings easily attainable for local companies. To assist industries and their managers, we have engaged in a strict vetting process for our Energy Solutions providers. Industries that take advantage of these providers’ services can be assured that they are dealing with experienced companies with a proven product and reputation,” said Director of CAN DO Energy Solutions Bernadette DeBias said.
GreenTech has already performed work locally, including a project at Simona America through CAN DO Energy Solutions. The turnkey installation of a new lighting system and sensors is saving Simona America more than $50,000 per year with a payback period of less than two years.
“We look forward to working with the Energy Solutions program and industries in Greater Hazleton. CAN DO’s goals dovetail with our own corporate mission: to assist businesses with energy efficiencies, help them shrink their carbon footprint, and contribute to the strength and growth of the regional economy,” said Eileen Fox, sales and marketing manager of GreenTech Energy Services.
The company has extensive experience in the industrial market, having completed projects in numerous manufacturing plants, warehouses, distribution centers and other facilities. Additionally, GreenTech is one of only eight Pennsylvania state certified SESCOs (small energy service company), permitting the company to assist and execute Guaranteed Energy Savings Act projects on behalf of Pennsylvania townships, municipalities and public schools.
GreenTech Energy Services, founded in 1994, has installed energy-efficient lighting systems in more than 50 million square feet of commercial building space. With offices on both the East and West Coasts, GreenTech serves customers across the country.
