Raleigh Artist Vinita Jain’s Work Displayed in Pastel Society of North Carolina Show

Local Artist’s Pastel Paintings Exhibited at Ambleside Gallery In Greensboro

Raleigh, NC, March 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Vinita Jain (http://www.vinitajain.net), a local artist who specializes in acrylic and pastel painting, has announced that her pastel paintings titled “Dancing Waves” and “Melody” will be exhibited at the Pastel Society of North Carolina’s (PSNC) show at the Ambleside Gallery, located at 524 S. Elm St. in Greensboro, N.C. Jain has enjoyed displaying her work with PSNC on numerous occasions and this is the third year the society has held a show at the Ambleside Gallery. The exhibit, which started Feb. 5, will run through Friday, March 25.

About Vinita Jain:
A native of India, Vinita Jain has lived in North Carolina for more than 10 years. As a child, art was a passion of Jain’s, and she was first introduced to pastels when she came to N.C. Jain took courses in drawing and color theory at Meredith College and since has taken pastel workshops from renowned artists. Influenced by impressionists such as Edgar Degas and Vincent Van Gogh, Jain works mainly with soft pastels but has recently begun working with acrylics.
