Nashville’s Artist to the Stars Corey Frizzell & Award Winning Bluegrass Artist Mark Newton Appear on the Rivers of Faith Talk Show Hosted by Donna Hambrick Tyson

Nashville, TN, March 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Talk show host Donna Hambrick Tyson interviewed Nashville’s Artist to the Stars Corey Frizzell and Bluegrass Legend Mark Newton, Tuesday, March 15th, live on the Rivers of Faith radio show about the monthly Lyrics for Lyric show organized by Frizzell and Newton to benefit Frizzell’s two year old daughter, Lyric Alana Frizzell, who suffers from a rare form of Luekemia.

Donna is a nationally acclaimed motivational speaker known for her ability to touch hearts and inspire people to reach their highest potential. She draws on her experiences as a former TV and radio talk show host, successful business owner, community leader and from her three grown children for her lessons. Donna hosts a weekly internet based talk show called Rivers Of Faith with Here Women Talk on Zuess Radio and is a regular featured writer on work/life balance issues in the South Carolina Women Magazine. She also travels the country as a motivational speaker while promoting her children’s book on pride and self–esteem, entitled “The Red Bow.”

On July 28th, 2009, at ten months old, Lyric Alana Frizzell, daughter of Crystal and Artist to the Stars, Corey Frizzell was diagnosed with an aggressive, rare form of Leukemia and was just hours from losing her life. Not only was it a parent’s worst nightmare to hear the dreaded word “cancer,” but to soon find out that Lyric is the only documented case in history to have her form of Leukemia was unfathomable. She has endured six months of chemo, deadly infections and months of seclusion from family and friends in a protected, filtrated wing of the hospital for immune suppressed patients at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Myelosuppression Unit.

Lyric is now celebrating being declared in a partial remission from the Leukemia but frequents the Vanderbilt Cancer Clinic monthly and will continue to do so for the next four years to monitor her immune system and blood counts. If she can avoid a relapse during this period, having the greatest chance for one during the next year, she will be declared in full remission.

Once a month Frizzell and Newton help to organize the Lyrics for Lyric show, presented by the Nashville Music Guide Magazine and the famed Picks Nashville. The show features a Country or Bluegrass star and about twenty hit song writers in a pre-show live at Music Row’s, Picks Nashville at 1407 Division St.
