New Children’s Easter Book Focuses on Plan Older Than Time

Children wonder about a lot of things, including why we celebrate Easter. Author Mark I. Sutherland decided to write an explanation of Easter for his four children. Mark then teamed up with professional children's illustrator Julie Hammond and this incredible, illustrated book is the result. Now he is sharing it with kids, parents, grandparents and anyone who wishes to explain the amazing truth of Easter to the children in their lives. http://www.easterbook.us

St. Louis, MO, March 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- “The Easter story is probably one of the most well known, but also least understood stories we have,” author Mark Sutherland said. “And as a parent, I have been looking for an Easter story to use with my four children that captured the amazing truth of Easter, while exciting the imagination and enabling the understanding of my kids.”

Mark’s first children’s book is the result of his search. After being unable to find an Easter story that focused on the parts of the story he wanted his children, ages 3-8, to understand, he wrote the story himself. His children paid attention, asked questions and were able to understand the incredible story of Easter.

“After my kids were clearly into the story, and my associate pastor gave me positive feedback about it, I couldn’t help wonder if other parents and grandparents might have use for this story with their children,” Mark said.

Mark joined forces with children’s illustrator Julie Hammond and the result is the fully illustrated children’s book, “Why Do We Celebrate Easter?” available now from Dunrobin Publishing.

"The task of bringing to life the true story of 'Why Do We Celebrate Easter?' was one that is rewarding and memorable in more ways than one," Julie said.

“The story itself is older than time, and shows that God had a plan before He even created the world,” Mark said. “This makes the Easter story even more powerful and impactful, and I’m excited to see parents and grandparents using this book to communicate the amazing Easter story to the children in their lives.”

The paperback version of “Why Do We Celebrate Easter?” is available via Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com and local bookstores. The eBook version is available via Amazon.com’s Kindle, B&N’s NOOK and Apple’s iBookstore. For more details visit www.easterbook.us.
