Gulf Coast Venture Forum Elects New Board Member in Sarasota

A new Chapter President has recently been elected in the Gulf Coast Venture Forum’s Sarasota Chapter.

Naples, FL, March 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Gulf Coast Venture Forum (GCVF) is pleased to announce the Sarasota Chapter has recently elected Sara Hand to the position of Chapter President.

Hand is the founder of S P Hand and Associates, a business development firm located in Sarasota, Florida. The firm focuses on implementation, utilizing an assembled team of associates that make fulfillment of development objectives a reality.

She brings a unique combination of skills and experience across a variety of industries from both public and private sectors. Passionate about education and economic development, Hand is a recognized leader in one of the fastest growing and largest informally organized technology communities in Florida called BarCamp Sarasota.

The purpose of the Gulf Coast Venture Forum is to promote the success of Southwest Florida’s new and emerging businesses by bringing together the best entrepreneurs, early stage venture capital firms and Angel Investors. Members of the GCVF meet monthly to hear about local investment opportunities, and they also offer informative educational programs presented by seasoned, recognized professionals and business people, providing a place for the sharing and exchange of business and technical experience. Monthly meetings are scheduled October through June each year. GCVF is also available to provide speakers to local organizations who want to learn more about the purpose of the GCVF and local investment opportunities.
