Lake Norman Home Builder Named "Woman of the Year" by National Association of Home Builders Professional Women in Building

The Lake Norman Home Builders Association (LNHBA) proudly announces that Nicole Goolsby was named Woman of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Professional Women in Building Council. She was awarded for her generous and enthusiastic support as a business mentor, and for her exceptional leadership in the council. NAHB also recognized Goolsby as a Life Director for her ten years of service on the Board of Directors.

Mooresville, NC, March 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- President of Rion Homes, Inc., in Cornelius, N.C., Goolsby is President of LNHBA, and is a member of the North Carolina Home Builders Association (NCHBA) and the North Carolina Professional Women in Building Council.

Nicole has been involved with NAHB for over 15 years. She has served on various committees and boards for LNHBA, NCHBA, and NAHB and in 2006 was elected NAHB Professional Women in Building Council Chair. Currently she serves as LNHBA President.

Goolsby has won many awards over the years and built the 2001 Showcase Home for LNHBA, which appeared in the Regatta of Homes tour. That same year she was named the 2001 LNHBA Builder Member of the Year for her exemplary commitment to the home building industry and the Association. In 2004 Goolsby won the NCHBA STARS Award for Outstanding Achievement in New Construction valued at $250,000-$500,000. In 2006, Goolsby won 2nd Place for Home Remodeling Under $50,000 category in LNHBA’s Best of the Lake Design Competition. The 2007 Regatta of Homes brought her a 2nd Place win for New Construction valued at $400,000-$500,000. Goolsby won an Excellence in Remodeling Gold Award in 2009 for Whole House Renovation valued at $160,000-$280,000. And in 2010, Goolsby was awarded 1st Place for Whole House Renovation valued at $76,000-$175,000 in LNHBA’s Best of the Lake.
