Your Time Publishing and Author Sherry Milam Are in Final Editing Stages of, The Red Feather

The colorful story of the Mardi Gras Indians, The Red Feather, scheduled for release Spring 2011. This long awaited children’s story is now in its final edit and will go to press next month.

New Orleans, LA, March 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Author, Sherry “Led” Milam was the community storyteller for the New Orleans Public Library at the Martin Luther King, Jr. branch. Miss Leddy shares stories with children of all ages. She enjoys imparting knowledge to little minds about everything she can think of. She was a 12 year resident of New Orleans, residing in the Lower Ninth Ward with her two sons, one husband, two roosters, two dogs, and one bearded dragon (named Pretty Boy). Currently she has relocated to southern California. When she isn’t hanging out with her 3 year old, Miss Led is an actor, an artist, and an all around powerhouse of community involvement. Her background includes theatre, performance art, and puppeteer, prop building, and set design. “Through motherhood,” Miss Led likes to say, “I have learned to be a doctor psychologist, hairdresser, office manager, dictator, and most importantly, an educator.”

A red feather tumbles down the street on a sweet Mardi Gras morning; a curious boy follows. The music begins and he is lead on a true and magical adventure with, New Orleans' best kept secret. The Mardi Gras Indians!
