CSI: Miami's Eva La Rue to Appear on FOX's "Good Day LA" on March 25

Eva La Rue, star of television's CSI: Miami and National Spokesperson for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, will appear on FOX's "Good Day LA" morning show on March 25 to discuss her new role with the nonprofit.

Los Angeles, CA, March 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Emmy-nominated actress and humanitarian, Eva La Rue, will appear on FOX’s “Good Day L.A.” on March 25 to discuss her new role as National Spokesperson for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving and enhancing quality of life for cancer patients and their families.

Best known as Natalia Boa Vista, a DNA Lab Specialist turned CSI on “CSI: Miami,” and her long-running portrayal of Dr. Maria Santos on “All My Children,” Eva La Rue has been active for years in her support of cancer-affiliated causes, which are near and dear to her heart; both her grandmother and great-grandmother were lost to cancer. In mid-April, during the NBA Playoffs, La Rue will debut a series of public service announcements developed to heighten awareness for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation’s unique patient programs.

“After seeing the effects of cancer within my own family, I felt compelled to step into a role that highlights the unique needs of cancer patients across the country,” said La Rue. “As National Spokesperson for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, I have an opportunity to be a voice of inspiration and strength for the vulnerable – and provide help during one of the most difficult times of their lives. There is hope, and that is the message I want to share with them.”
