)-- Emmy-nominated actress and humanitarian, Eva La Rue, will appear on FOX’s “Good Day L.A.” on March 25 to discuss her new role as National Spokesperson for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving and enhancing quality of life for cancer patients and their families.
Best known as Natalia Boa Vista, a DNA Lab Specialist turned CSI on “CSI: Miami,” and her long-running portrayal of Dr. Maria Santos on “All My Children,” Eva La Rue has been active for years in her support of cancer-affiliated causes, which are near and dear to her heart; both her grandmother and great-grandmother were lost to cancer. In mid-April, during the NBA Playoffs, La Rue will debut a series of public service announcements developed to heighten awareness for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation’s unique patient programs.
“After seeing the effects of cancer within my own family, I felt compelled to step into a role that highlights the unique needs of cancer patients across the country,” said La Rue. “As National Spokesperson for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, I have an opportunity to be a voice of inspiration and strength for the vulnerable – and provide help during one of the most difficult times of their lives. There is hope, and that is the message I want to share with them.”
