Registration Open for the 2011 T-Mobile Granite Bowl on Sunday April 17 at Southern New Hampshire University
Registration is open for the fifth annual T-Mobile Granite Bowl Flag Football Event. The event will take place on Sunday, April 17, at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH. Registration cost is $130 per team of ten. Both youth and adult teams are welcomed to participate. The 2011 T-Mobile Granite Bowl is played on field turf and is considered the premier flag football event in New Hampshire.
Manchester, NH, March 25, 2011 --(PR.com)-- This one day student-run event, led by the SNHU Granite Bowl staff, benefits Team Emma's Enchantment and the SNHU Tuffy Phelps Scholarship fund.
Team Emma's Enchantment is dedicated to an inspirational young girl named Emma, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor nearly eight years ago. Despite having undergone a number of procedures, Emma's courage continues to persevere. The 2010 Granite Bowl staff is partnering with Team Emma to increase awareness and raise additional funds.
The registration deadline for all teams is April 8. The cost per team is $130. Ten is the maximum number of players, although teams can add players to a maximum of 12 for an additional $10 each.
The youth day tournament will consist of four different age groups: 6-8, 9-11, 12-15, and 16-18. The adult-day tournament will be ages 18 and over and categorized into two divisions: competitive and recreational. Co-ed participation is optional.
The event will also provide a Fan Zone, which will feature a selection of food and drink, inflatable toys for children and adults, tye-dye, face painting, a dunk tank and more.
Along with their title partner, the T-Mobile Granite Bowl is proud partners with the SNHU School of Business, Coca-Cola, the SNHU Sport Management Club, SNHU's Student Government Association, NH Fisher Cats, Merchants Automotive, Apple Therapy, Crown Trophy, and Jillian’s. This year's event staff is still in search of other corporate partners.
The event is entirely student-run and organized by SNHU's Event Management & Marketing class, where an 11-member staff was carefully selected as part of an interview process. The staff has been divided into marketing, tournament operations & registration, corporate partnership, and volunteer management departments to ensure another successful event takes place this spring.
