YES! FC Dallas and Frisco RoughRiders are Committed to the Kids

Kids can try out their soccer skills in the North Texas State Soccer Chevy Showcase obstacle course and take pictures with Frisco’s favorite prairie dog, Deuce.

Plano, TX, February 24, 2007 --(PR.com)-- FC Dallas and the Frisco RoughRiders are bringing their expertise, entertainment and excitement to the one day YES! (Youth Explore Sports) Expo at The Shops at Willow Bend. The Expo will be open from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. this Saturday. The event is free to the public. Kids can try out their soccer skills in the North Texas State Soccer Chevy Showcase obstacle course and take pictures with Frisco’s favorite prairie dog Deuce.

In addition to all of the exciting things happening inside (prizes, demonstrations, appearances, etc), the North Texas State Soccer Chevy Showcase obstacle course will be outside near the Dillard’s entrance. And, one young person will have a chance to win $15,000 in an accuracy serve sponsored by Spikefest.

“The North Texas Chevy Soccer Tour is proud to be part of the inaugural YES! expo,” said Jason Martinez of FC Dallas. “We want everyone to come out to enjoy the games and win free prizes!”

Demonstrations will begin 11 a.m. and conclude at 6 p.m. Hall of Famer and ESPN Analyst, Nancy Lieberman, will be on site from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. signing autographs and speaking to the crowd about the importance of youth sports. Groups such as the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy, PrimeTime Sports, US Youth Soccer and Wheelchair Fencing will take the stage to show off their skills. Prizes will be awarded throughout the day by YES! and at the individual exhibitors booths. Prizes include a Brendan Shanahan autographed jersey, two round trip tickets on Northwest Airlines, autographed Big 12 Championship Football, and much, much more. Activities sponsored by North Texas State Soccer and Spikefest will be live throughout the duration of the Expo.
