NPSA Resale Expo 2007 Summit Brings Storage Experts Together in California

The annual conference will be held April 29-May 1 at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa in Monterey, Calif. as portable storage leaders unite for informational exchange.

Kansas City, MO, February 25, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Get ready to resale... The National Portable Storage Association, or NPSA, is gearing up for its biannual Resale Expo Conference. This year’s event features insider information about the state of the industry – and what the future holds – at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa in Monterey, Calif. April 29-May 1. Some of the industry’s most knowledgeable leaders will be on hand to share strategies for success.

“The Resale Expo is a premier event that gathers together top names in portable storage for a meeting of the minds,” said John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director of the NPSA, a nonprofit membership association dedicated to the advancement of the portable storage industry. “This conference will promote learning, business opportunities, networking and camaraderie with pertinent educational programs and an open exchange of ideas between members, sponsors and guests.”

The conference kicks off with a Sunday evening networking reception so participants can get acquainted in a relaxed setting before the workshops get under way first thing Monday morning. John Maccarone, CEO of Textainer Equipment Management, will offer the state of the industry address and Mike Baldwin, President of ConGlobal, will speak on issues affecting container depots in two speeches industry stakeholders won’t want to miss.

Resale Expo 2007 participants will also enjoy some fun in the California sun at a golf outing at the famed Bayonet & Black  Horse golf course. Those who would rather shop till they drop can hop on the Carmel Shopping Shuttle for a ride to Carmel Plaza, with its 50 unique shops and restaurants in a courtyard setting, the Barnyard Shopping Village with its acres of colorful flowers, shopping and dining, or the Crossroads Shopping Center with its English village ambiance. Monday night features a networking reception and dinner at the world famous Pebble Beach Resort, where participants will enjoy fine dining as they overlook the Pacific Ocean.

The industry education picks up again on Tuesday with GE SeaCo Vice President Tim Britton’s take on macroeconomics and its implications on container leasing, supply and demand, followed by Steven Blust, President of the Institute of International Container Lessors and his insights on the portable storage industry. Tuesday will also feature up-to-date information on the latest factory production strategies in and round tables of professionals discussing best practices and methods for the portable storage industry. Tuesday’s network reception is an old-fashioned beach clambake, the perfect setting to relax and unwind as the conference comes to an end.

“We are grateful to our sponsors for helping us make this the best Resale Expo yet,” says NPSA Operations Manager Joel Rathbone. “There’s something here for every stakeholder in the portable storage industry. This event is sure to offer keys that will unlock future profits for 2007 and beyond.”
