Carolina Ballet Board Chair Melanie Dubis Announces A Midsummer Night’s Dream Gala

Fundraising Event on April 30 to Benefit Carolina Ballet

Raleigh, NC, April 02, 2011 --( Melanie Black Dubis, a partner at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP and chairman of the Carolina Ballet’s board, has announced that the Carolina Ballet will host A Midsummer Night’s Dream Gala on Saturday, April 30 at the Raleigh Convention Center. The Gala will benefit the Carolina Ballet, with individual tickets priced at $200 and tables for ten starting at $2,000. Dubis serves as chair of the Carolina Ballet’s board of directors for 2011-2012, and has been a board member since 2005. Previously, Dubis led fundraising efforts for the ballet as co-chair of the development committee.

“We’re looking forward to this year’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream Gala,” said Dubis. “This Gala is always an enjoyable evening of dinner, dancing and socializing, and the funds raised enable Carolina Ballet to provide world-class performances to the Triangle and beyond. Melanie Black Dubis, a partner at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, handles commercial disputes for clients in North Carolina state and federal courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and arbitration proceedings.
