)-- Brent Grisdale, President of Rigstar Communications Inc., announced today that the company has hired and appointed Mark Fossen as their new Chief Information Officer. Fossen will direct, plan, organize and control all activities related to research, development and production of new products and custom telecommunications solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
Holding a degree in Computational Physics from the University of Alberta and a diploma in Electronics Engineering from NAIT, Fossen brings over 12 years of technical and business development experience primarily focused on the research and development of disruptive technologies. Assuming his new role as Rigstar’s CIO, Fossen will focus his efforts primarily on high performance cloud communications solutions in the areas of mesh networking and voice over IP technologies.
