Thomas T. Fields to Speak at the Union Parish Library April 26. Main Topic Will be His Two Books.

Monroe, LA, April 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Thomas T. Fields, Jr, author of "I Called Him Grand Dad. The Lost Political Papaers of Harvey G. Fields" and "Desert Burning. The Story of the Civilians During Operation Desert Storm," will speak at the Union Parish Library on April 26th.

Fields was invited by the Friends of the Library to talk to several High School Classes and any local residents that would like to attend.

"This is quite an honor," Fields said. "One of my fondest memories while growing up in Farmerville was walking to the library during the summer and browsing through the books. I all ways kept my Union Parish library card in my wallet and it was me when I made a cruise to Viet Nam in the early seventies and was with me when I first went to work in Saudi Arabia. The libraries have so much to offer and I'm very pleased to talk to the youth of our parish."

Fields, a resident of Farmerville in rural North Louisiana, will talk about why a person should write and how to get published. He also plans to review his books. Both of the books have links to Farmerville and Union Parish.

Reviews of the book are available at Amazon.com.
