)-- Total Fitness Clubs (TFC) today announced the winners of the “You Choose To Lose” Weight Loss Challenge. The 10-week challenge ran from January 23 – April 3, 2011. 46 participants from the five competing TFC teams lost a combined 1167.4 pounds and the average weight loss for individuals was 25.4 pounds or 12.63%.
Participants in the challenge had the common goal to lose 20 or more pounds and be healthier, but the inspiration for each was varied. One woman has her wedding five days after the final weigh in, one is looking for professional advancement and some are trying to better manage diabetes and other health-related issues.
“We are proud of all the accomplishments of all the Winners and participants. Each Challenger met many of their personal health and wellness goals and are walking away armed with the knowledge and habits for a healthier lifestyle,” said Walter Medeiros, Personal Training Director, Total Fitness Clubs.

“You Choose To Lose” Weight Loss Challenge is a 10-week team oriented weight loss program that is run several times a year at Total Fitness Clubs.
