Hemisphere Expo Services and the Interactive Multimedia & Collaborative Communications Alliance (IMCCA) Team Up to Promote Landmark Summit on Telepresence Technology

Conference Focuses on Issues Relevant to IMCCA Members.

Steamboat Springs, CO, February 28, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Hemisphere Expo Services, Inc., an international events management firm based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, announced today they are joining forces with the Interactive Multimedia & Collaborative Communications Alliance (IMCCA), a nonprofit communications organization headquartered in Syosset, New York, to promote Telepresence World 2007. The high-level conference and trade exhibition will bring together telepresence, presence, and unified communications industry leaders and major end-users from around the globe and will be held June 4-6, 2007 on the beautiful University of San Diego campus in San Diego, California.

According to Mark Barounos, President of Hemisphere Expo Services, Inc., the alliance is a significant step in bringing together the many global corporations, businesses, educational and medical facilities, government entities, vendors, and end-users who are independently researching, evaluating, and implementing telepresence and presence solutions to facilitate inter- and intra-corporation collaboration, enhance distance learning and exploration, expand healthcare options, and limit their company’s ecological impact by reducing travel.

“The use of telepresence technology represents a new paradigm in the way humans relate to one another and their surroundings. Telepresence World 2007 is a tremendous opportunity for all of the players, including vendors, corporations, and end-users to evaluate solutions at the beginning of this communications revolution,” said Barounos. “Joining forces with the IMCCA will afford us a direct link to the very diverse and important audience characterized by their membership.”

The IMCCA, whose members share a common interest in fostering and promoting people-to-people and business-to-business communication and learning through the use of technology, will participate in Telepresence World 2007 through speaker sessions, exhibits, and by publicizing the event to its membership via its website, publications, and email. Members of the IMCCA will be able to register for Telepresence World 2007 for a special discounted fee.

“IMCCA is continually striving to enhance its value to the membership,” said Carol Zelkin, Executive Director of the IMCCA. “Telepresence World 2007 fosters our goal to provide comprehensive and meaningful services and opportunities to our members and we look forward to working with them.”

The growth of collaborative communications technology--whether audio, audiographic, or video teleconferencing, satellite networking, Intranet and Internet conferencing, or telepresence--is strongly reflected in the growth of the IMCCA. Today, led by Executive Director Carol Zelkin, the IMCCA represents over 1,000 collaborative communications professionals throughout the world. For further information, see http://www.imcca.org.
