Elaine King, CFP(R) Joins the Lubitz Financial Group in Miami

Elaine King, CFP(R), has joined the Lubitz Financial Group as Managing Director of Wealth Planning. Author of the book, "Family and Money Matters," Ms. King is the Chair and President of the Financial Planning Association of Miami-Dade and serves on the board of directors of the Family Collaborative Law Institute. She holds an Interntational MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and is a graduate of the Georgetown University Bowen Center for Study of the Family.

Miami, FL, April 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Linda Lubitz Boone, founder and president of The Lubitz Financial Group (LFG), announced that Elaine King, CFP®, CDFA™, has joined the firm as Managing Director of Wealth Planning. King’s focus is on wealth planning for multi-generational families with emphasis on retirement, education, and estate planning. “Elaine’s experience facilitating family meetings and conducting financial competency programs for children and women is an added benefit for our clients,” Linda Lubitz Boone said. The Miami-based firm works primarily with clients in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

Prior to joining LFG, King created and directed the Wealth and Well-Being Institute, a platform for high-net-worth families, at Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust, where she worked for seven years as vice president and director. Before that she was the Latin American investment sales manager for The Royal Bank of Scotland, U.S. division’s $8 billion investment advisory group, and worked at Citigroup as the sales and marketing manager for a $13 billion investment advisory service.

King is the 2011 chairman and president of the Financial Planning Association of Miami Dade. A Certified Financial Planner®, a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™, and a Florida Supreme Court-certified family mediator, she serves on the board of directors of the Family Collaborative Law Institute.

She holds an International MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and is a graduate of the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family, part of The Georgetown Family Center in the District of Columbia.

King is the author of Family and Money Matters, published in November 2010 by Kaabrah Publishing. She has appeared on PBS, CBS, Univision and the Joe Madison Show.
