Teen Author Celebrates National Read an eBook Week by Publishing eBook with Cautionary Tale about Internet Predator Dangers

Seattle, WA, February 28, 2007 --(PR.com)-- With the popularity of social and networking sites such as myspace.com with teens and young adults, many nationwide are concerned with the topic of internet safety. On March 1, 18 year old author, Shalayne Alexandria’s debut teen fiction novel series, Nyville High: No.1 Welcome to Nyville, will be available as an ebook to celebrate National Read An ebook Week March 4- March 10. One of the central  story lines in the continuing novel series focuses on internet predator dangers.

“My characters are completely fictional. They deal with traditional teen angst in addition to real issues concerning today’s teens like internet dangers, family turmoil, eating disorders and cyber bullying,” says teen author Shalayne Aexandria, the  creator of the series. “Many of my readers are mobile and tech savvy so I decided to release the book early as an ebook for them. I don’t think it will take away from the  paperback version. In fact, I think it will compliment it and give all of my readers a choice.”

The ebook edition ISBN 0-9786180-0-9 is available at www.ShalayneAlexandria.com and also at www.mobipocket.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon.com. The paperback edition ISBN 0-9786180-1-7 will be available May 2007.
