Dawna Lee Heising of EOE Covers Tara Cardinal’s Japan Rescue Red Carpet Benefit


The Benefit to Help Victims of Japan’s Earthquake and Tsunami is Sponsored by the BleedFest Film Festival, Dark Delicacies and FanGirlTastic.com.

Los Angeles, CA, April 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Dawna Lee Heising and John Cox of Eye on Entertainment covered Tara Cardinal’s Japan Rescue Benefit - Celebrity Signings & Red Carpet Photo Ops on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Dark Delicacies at Dark Delicacies, located at 3512 W. Magnolia, Burbank, CA. Some of the concerned celebrities who came to support the relief efforts in Japan include: Lance Henriksen, John Savage, James Duval, Sean Hood, Daniel Knauf, Kevin Tenney, Brett Wagner, Bonnie Aarons, Debra Christofferson, Louis Mandylor, Camden Toy, Leslie Easterbrook, Dai Green, Elissa Dowling, Deedee Bigelow, Allison Kyler, Adam Weisman, Erik Preston, Ken Hall, Josh Eisenstadt, Ace Jordan and more. Fans were able to come by and contribute to the relief efforts by buying an autographed picture of the celebrities, or being photographed with them on the red carpet by celebrity photographer Kevin Hahn.

Tara Cardinal organized the Japan Rescue charity benefit event. Cardinal is a world famous scream queen, pro wrestler and sword fighter. She’s also one of the youngest scream queens in the genre, as well as an established actress in Indy films. She has been voted one of the Top 100 Sexiest Women in TV and Movies (2010) and received a nomination for 2010’s best supporting actress for her role as the mentally retarded ward in Song of the Shattered. She has studied acting with some of the top names in Hollywood, and has produced and starred in numerous films. Cardinal is also a pro wrestler and sword fighter, and does her own stunts. The BleedFest festival occurs the first Sunday afternoon each month. It features shorts and features in and out of competition, works in progress, and student films. Festival founders and directors Elisabeth Fies and Brenda Fies are a filmmaking duo whose critically acclaimed feature thriller The Commune was embraced by the genre community in 2009 and 2010. BleedFest disproves the prevailing myth that there are no female filmmakers making indie genre movies. The award-winning filmmakers are working on I Hate L.A., a bold new feature film of eleven interlocking horror vignettes written and directed by seven lady directors.
