Séura Balances Technology and Design on HGTV

Design veteran Candice Olson features Television Mirror

Green Bay, WI, April 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The space above a fireplace has been a point of contention for interior designers for years. Tech-savvy homeowners often opt for a large flat-screen. While designers lean toward a sleek, framed mirror to open up a room. Séura provides the best of both worlds. Design superstar, Candice Olson, recently designed a makeover anchored by a television mirror that does just that.

Previously of Divine Design and judge on Design Star, Candice Olson launched her new show Candice Tells All earlier this year. Candice takes viewers through the ins-and-outs of her signature makeovers while exploring a major design principle in each episode.

In the recent episode “The Art of Balance,” Candice transforms an awkward living room into a gathering space with perfect aesthetic balance.

For this episode, Candice utilizes a Séura Premier Series Television Mirror in a warm wood frame from Séura’s Belmont collection. The 46” LED television provides a bright, high-performance television picture. When powered off, the screen completely vanishes, leaving a seamless mirror reflection.

Installed above a fireplace, the television mirror is the focal point for flanking bookcases and chairs. When powered off, the mirror blends beautifully with the traditional fireplace. With a flip of a switch, the television brings all the convenience and entertainment of a modern living room.

Séura’s television mirrors have come a long way since Candice first used one on HGTV in 2007. Since then, a total of six Séura products have graced Candice’s shows in a variety of ways. Séura’s Premier Series Television Mirrors are now a slim 1” in depth in screen sizes up to 65”, virtually eliminating the need to recess it into the wall.
