New "INDIEvening" Segment of Conversation Crossroad Spotlights Indie Artists

Westport, CT, April 18, 2011 --( Conversation Crossroad hosts Betty-Lynn White and Garrison Leykam have launched the "INDIEvening" segment of their radio show to spotlight indie artists. "We decided to dedicate Monday evenings to helping indie artists expand their exposure and get their music heard by new listeners," explains Leykam. Conversation Crossroad's "INDIEvening," which can be listened to on Blog Talk Radio Mondays at 7pm EST, has already showcased classical crossover artist, composer and conductor Stella Black, singer, songwriter, producer and performer Cat McLean and 17-year old singer-songwriter Audrianna Cole. The duo also recently interviewed noted journalist and author of the new book "Big In China" Alan Paul whose band, Woodie Alan, was voted the Best Band in Beijing.

White and Leykam are well-versed in the indie scene having written the songs and produced the CD for The Garrison Project which they released on their own indie label, B-LonG Records. Leykam played guitar and sang lead vocals for the self-named group. They also shared indie producer roles for the the DINERS TV show series pilot which aired on Connecticut Public Television. White was an attorney for 30 years and is a published poet, freelance writer, lecturer and Adjunct Professor. Leykam was a producer for London Records, Inc. and has appeared as a performer at The Bluebird Cafe, Toad's Place, CBGB's, DownTime and other venues. Most recently they co-hosted a news-talk AM radio program on 1400 WSTC/1350 WNLK. Conversation Crossroad can be listened to on weeknights at 7pm EST on Blog Talk Radio.
