EMP Announces Video Contest Winner

Emergency Medicine Physicians has announced the results of the Second Annual Residency Video contest.

Canton, OH, April 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- For the second year, EMP invited EM residents to submit a video showing why their residency research program is the best in emergency medicine. The emergency medicine residency videos with the highest number of votes were eligible for a cash prize for themselves as well as for their residency program.

In 2010, a total of 15 residencies submitted videos. All of the submitted videos may be viewed in the Video Gallery on the EMP webpage.

The top place winner for 2010 was a tie between University Medical Center of Southern Nevada/University of Nevada School of Medicine and Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx, New York. The first and second place cash prizes were combined and each winner received half of the total.

Congratulations to Abby Worrall of UMC/UNSOM and to Rajnish Jaiswal of Lincoln who submitted the winning videos and who will each take home $3,750 individually and $7,500 for their residency programs.

The next three place winners are Palmetto Health Emergency Medicine Program in Columbia, South Carolina; VCU Emergency Medicine Program in Richmond Virginia; and UAMS Emergency Medicine Program in Little Rock, Arkansas. Each of these EMP video contest winners will also receive a cash prize of $1,000 and $2,000 for their residency programs.
