DirtTrackFan.com - a Comprehensive Website About Dirt Track Racing

Hollywood, CA, April 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- DirtTrackFan.com was started in 2008 as a pet project by Adam Schricker. Adam has been a fan of dirt track racing since he was a young boy living in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He found the problem with being a fan of this grass roots sport, was finding a nearby track and knowing when the races were happening. Adam found a problem and turned it into an opportunity.

It has taken him years to build DirtTrackFan.com. Besides building a website from scratch, Adam had to research all the dirt tracks in North America, "At one point I had over 700 tracks in the database. Right now, there are only 553 active tracks on the site. Some tracks are closed, up for sale, or have no web page. Unfortunately without a web page, I don't know if a track is still racing."

March and April are especially busy for Adam, "Springtime is when all the race schedules start showing up. It takes weeks for me to put all that information into the site, but it's well worth it. When you do the 'Find a Dirt Track' search, it not only gives you a list of tracks in your area, but you also get a list of the upcoming races at each track. I am very proud of that feature."

Dirt track racing is a sport that has been around since the 1920's and reached its heyday in the 1950's. Tracks are normally found in rural areas due to the amount of noise and land that is needed. When the weather allows, you can find amateur and professional racers entertaining crowds and having good clean fun at dirt tracks all over America. Adam added, "Tickets don't cost much and there is a lot to see. You get to know the racers and the fans. It is a great way to spend an evening."

All of Adam's work is finally paying off - DirtTrackFan.com's activity is growing. This past month, DirtTrackFan.com surpassed 2,200 visits, 1,850 visitors, and 6,700 page views.

When asked why he puts all his time and effort into this website, Adam responded with, "I looked around and there was nothing on the internet offering comprehensive dirt track information. Where are the tracks, when are the races, what is the current sports hubbub, and some fun photos and videos to watch. I decided, the only way to fix this problem is to make the solution. I hope it supports the sport I really enjoy and it helps others enjoy it too!"
