Massages to Benefit Military Spouses: National Massage Therapy Institute Students Donate Time to a Worthy Cause

National Massage Therapy Institute Students Attend Volunteer Beauty Boot Camp Event.

Philadelphia, PA, April 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Students from the National Massage Therapy Institute (NMTI) will attend the upcoming Beauty Boot Camp event on Friday, May 6 from 6-9PM at the Marriott Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel in downtown Crystal City. This event, held by the U.S. Marine Corps, will benefit the spouses of Marines and Sailors, and show appreciation for all the support they provide their husbands while away on active duty.

Toni Milburn, NMTI Systems Student Clinic Director, and organizer of these off-site events, said: “It is an honor to support such a worthy cause as the Beauty Boot Camp for Marine Spouse Appreciation. Military spouses and the stress they endure can sometimes be overlooked and we’re very happy to be able to help.”

National Massage Therapy Institute students are frequently asked to take part in off-site volunteer events. These events not only allow students to give back to their local communities, but they also allow them to receive valuable real-world experiences.

The President of NMTI, Bob Cappel, stated that: “I truly believe that these off-site events are a valuable part of NMTI students’ education. These events provide our students with experience working with members of their community before graduation and this definitely helps to set them apart. Marine spouse appreciation is an admirable cause and NMTI is glad to be offered the opportunity to attend.”
