CollegiateLink Releases SA LINK(TM) Integrated Technology for Student Activities

CollegiateLink Corp. releases SA LINK 1.0, a complete software suite for co-curricular program administration at colleges and universities. SA LINK provides centralized recordkeeping and online collaboration for Student Activities and related departments as well as a complete campus life web portal. Schools can more efficiently track student organization budgets, provide co-curricular transcripts, keep better historical records, and boost involvement in student leadership activities.

Boston, MA, September 24, 2005 --(PR.com)-- CollegiateLink Corp. today announced the 1.0 release of its enterprise-class software solution for higher education institutions, SA LINK. The successful release and deployment of SA LINK 1.0 at the Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA) marks the culmination of over two years of business process analysis and software development. "SA LINK is the single most comprehensive software solution available for co-curricular program administration at colleges and universities," Aaron Severs, CEO of CollegiateLink Corp. said.

By providing centralized recordkeeping and online collaboration for Student Activities and related departments, SA LINK is designed to bring measurable improvement to the co-curricular program. "Staff and administrators are better able to provide reports, record keeping, and information for students by using SA LINK," Karen Boss, Director of Student Leadership Programs at Wentworth Institute of Technology said, "[It] is the most helpful software I have seen in a long while for Student Activities professionals."

Todd Foley, Assistant Director of Student Leadership Programs at Wentworth Institute of Technology agrees. "I have been looking for a way to keep track of a student’s co-curricular transcript for a while and I like that SA LINK has this feature especially," Foley said. With SA LINK, student organization records are never lost and historical information is always available. "We'll have data about club spending, student involvement, and club history for years to come. That is a real benefit," Foley said. In addition to campus life departments, SA LINK can provide valuable data to admissions, alumni relations, registrar, career center and more.

A key advantage of SA LINK is that it combines an information system for student activities with a fully featured web portal designed with student input. "When creating web resources, student buy-in is a primary concern. By providing a web portal that includes campus and club news, events, discussions, student organization records, and even content from outside sites, we promote daily usage by the campus community and a higher return on investment,” Severs said. Schools can choose to run SA LINK on their own server (available as SA LINK Enterprise™) or subscribe to the SA LINK TurnKey™ hosted service, where CollegiateLink maintains and administers the server. "Our goal is to make this valuable resource easily available to both large and small schools. Campus Life departments can subscribe to SA LINK TurnKey regardless of available institutional IT resources, or integrate SA LINK with existing campus technology to realize even greater benefits," Severs said.

SA LINK comes customized to fit the unique needs of each client and can run as a stand-alone system or integrated with other campus technology. Features such as a customizable web interface, caching, and LDAP authentication are included out-of-the-box. "Security and scalability were key priorities when developing SA LINK. We have created a solution that will benefit all types of higher education institutions, from community colleges to large universities," Severs said.

SA LINK is a suite of tools that can be implemented individually or as part of a complete package. Available features include:

-SA Events powerful online calendar and events approval system
