DirectRooms.com – Join Bands Mix with BMXs as Extreme Festival in Liverpool This May 2011

DirectRooms.com announces that major bands will be lining up to perform in Liverpool in May, alongside a display of extreme sports with neat BMX and skateboarding tricks.

Liverpool, United Kingdom, April 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The show of music and stunts is part of HUB Festival 2011, which is set to include headline acts, Funeral For a Friend and the extremely popular The Blackout.

As people listen to the music, fans can also see amazing tricks being performed on Europe’s largest vertical ramp. Hitting the 13.5 foot wall will be BMX legends such as Jerry Galley and Bas Keep, as well as skateboarding professionals Pete King and Chris Oliver. All skaters, boarders and BMX riders can also take part on the ramp and urban brands Vans, Etnies and Quicksilver will be there to give away clothing and cash prizes in a series of competitions.

In addition to the headline acts, organisers are also on the look out for local talent and bands are being asked to submit tracks, with the winning groups taking to the stage to play live when the festival runs on 21st and 22nd May 2011 at Otterspool Park.

Around 8,000 tickets will be available for the weekend and as these are expected to be sold out, hotels in Liverpool Airport are also due to be fully booked with festival goers.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: “This is a huge event for Liverpool and hotels will be overrun with guests. Advanced reservations at hotels should be made for anyone travelling from out of town.”
