Emperor’s College Students Continue to Excel on NCCAOM® and California Acupuncture Licensing Exams in 2010

First time test takers from Emperor’s College score well above national average

Santa Monica, CA, April 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, one of the oldest and most distinguished acupuncture colleges in the nation, is pleased to announce outstanding alumni outcomes on the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) exam and the California Acupuncture Licensing Exam (CALE) in 2010.

On the NCCAOM exam, first time test takers from Emperor’s College scored well above the national average in all four exam areas, including acupuncture, biomedicine, Chinese herbology and Oriental medicine.

The NCCAOM, which was established in 1982, is the national organization that awards professional certification to qualified practitioners of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. Currently, NCCAOM certification is required in 98% of the states that regulate acupuncture.

Top Results on California Acupuncture Licensing Exams

In California, the Acupuncture Board, an autonomous body under the umbrella of the Department of Consumer Affairs, licenses and regulates acupuncturists in the state.

In 2010, Emperor’s College graduates achieved extremely high pass rates in the California Acupuncture Board exams. First time exam takers scored a 74 percent passing rate in February of 2010 and a 78 percent passing rate in the August 2010 exams, scoring 10 percent above average each time.
