Blackburn, United Kingdom, March 02, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- The Mighty Fine Company has confirmed the intention to co-finance, and construct an ice hotel, with new strategic partner, Classic Norway.
The hotel will be located at the ski resort of Bjorli, on the edge of the famous UNESCO World Heritage site of the Geiranger Fjord, and easily reached from Molde. The Bjorli Ice Resort will sit beside an established sister hotel, Bjorligard, where customers can enjoy a variety of activities. Plans to introduce husky safaris and other activities will compliment the existing ski slopes for adults and children, 130km cross-country ski trails, indoor pool area, sauna, Jacuzzi and indoor bowling alley.
The Bjorli Ice Resort is expected to be on sale by February 2007, with accommodation available from December 2007 - March 2008. Mighty Fine managing director, Andrew Williams claims, “This is a simple case of supply and demand. Our allocations of the Ice Hotel sold out very quickly this year which meant that we were turning away business, leaving customers disappointed. We feel that this solution will provide new opportunities for our strategic partner, Classic Norway, and increase revenue streams for the Mighty Fine Company.”
Mighty Fine will have an exclusive contractual arrangement worldwide with the ability to sell the accommodation independently, or package with flights and transfers. Williams continues, “Whilst Bjorli Ice Resort can be reached by air, we will also offer the scenic rail journey through the mountains where the station is just two minutes walk from the hotel. We at Mighty Fine believe in delivering not just a holiday, but an alternative experience.”
