Free Critical Training Course for Law Enforcement

A new version of The Backup Training Corporation's computer based course Patrol Response to Active Shooters has been released. The course is available free to sworn law enforcement officers in the USA.

Coeur d'Alene, ID, March 02, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Backup Training Corporation, one of the nation’s leading computer-based training providers for law enforcement, has announced that it has released a new version of its Patrol Response to Active Shooters course. The course instructor, Al Baker, is a twenty-five year veteran of the NYPD and inventor of the Baker Batshield(R). The course provides law enforcement with invaluable insight and information, as well as first responder and team strategies and tactics.

“Recent events emphasize the need for every law enforcement officer to be trained and prepared,” explained The Backup’s CEO Rick Gallia. “Heavily armed individuals shooting people in a school or public building can happen anywhere, anytime. Minutes count in saving innocent lives and old procedures must be reevaluated in order to have an effective response. This may be The Backup’s best, and certainly one of our most important, training courses yet.”

The new course is available at no cost to any sworn officer in the US. Partnerships with several colleges provide the funding for the training. The only cost to the officer is a $3 per course charge to cover shipping and handling fees. This free training course is available at www.thebackup.com.
