Your Time Publishing, LLC Signs New Author Shade' Ogunleye

Your Time Publishing has signed the former Miss Black New York, Shade' Ogunleye to single book deal.

New Orleans, LA, April 29, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Shade' Ogunleye is writing a semi autobiographical novel titled, In Search of My Father, where she explores the relationships one creates while trying to fill that void left by absent fathers. Shade' (Shaw-day, like the Jazz singer) Ogunleye is a twenty-four year old graduate from the English department at Columbia University, the founder of her own non-profit organization (www.kidsinternationfoundation.org), and the former reigning Miss Black New York.

When she found out that AIDS was the number one killer of African Americans aged 25-44, she knew that AIDS awareness would be her platform for the year. Recognizing that if people were dying in the middle of their lives of AIDS then they were contracting HIV in their teens and twenties, she targeted high schools for HIV prevention messages. She became the Momentum Project's Youth Ambassador for HIV Prevention, arranged for mobile testing units to visit parts of New York with little or no access and spoken at high schools all over New York City.

Paula Tromp of Your Time Publishing says, “There is so much more to Ms. Ogunleye, if we shared with you everything there is to know about this young lady it would fill a book. So stay tuned as we release her stories.”

Shade' Ogunleye is beginning a nationwide speaking tour at the end of this summer regarding the epidemic of sexual assault in our country and how issues like PTSD and absent fathers compound this problem. Shade' says "I believe I will hit a nerve on the topic of untreated sexual assault and the resulting depression and encourage women to seek treatment." Your Time Publishing envisions this story as a wave of healing over an increasingly fatherless nation.
