Minnesota Fans Only Have to Click to Support the Minnesota Sinfonia

“Like” Drive 4 the Music on Facebook and raise money for the Sinfonia's Music in the Schools Program

Minneapolis, MN, April 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The COUNTRY Financial Road Trips and Guitar Picks concert series is giving fans an easy way to drum up support for a local youth music program through Drive 4 the Music. Before Little Big Town hits the stage May 7 at Minneapolis’ Target Center, fans can click their way to thousands of dollars in donations for the Minnesota Sinfonia’s educational efforts.

1. “Like” the Road Trips and Guitar Picks Facebook page, www.tinyurl.com/Drive4Music.

2. “Like” the Minnesota Sinfonia and help bring music programs to more schools.

“We’re excited to partner with COUNTRY as we encourage the next generation of music stars in and around the Twin Cities,” says Karen Fairchild from Little Big Town, which is part of the COUNTRY Road Trips and Guitar Picks concert series. “We need our fans to simply click ‘Like’ on Facebook to drive in the donations.”

COUNTRY will make a donation to the Minnesota Sinfonia for each “Like” in the Drive 4 the Music section on the Road Trips Facebook page from April 22 to May 5.

The money raised by Drive 4 the Music will be used by the Minnesota Sinfonia to offer music education at a new Twin Cities school. Little Big Town and COUNTRY Financial will personally present the gift to the Minnesota Sinfonia prior to the Minneapolis show.

“We are ready to hit the road with Drive 4 the Music in Minneapolis,” says Kevin Thompson, a regional vice president of agency for COUNTRY in the Minneapolis area. “We help people reach their goals, no matter where they’re starting from. Through our partnership with Little Big Town and the Minnesota Sinfonia, Drive 4 the Music gives kids more opportunities to grow their musical talents, no matter where they’re starting from.”

Grammy-nominated Little Big Town will perform May 7 at the Target Center as they open for Sugarland.

About Little Big Town
Critically acclaimed platinum-selling group Little Big Town—consisting of members Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook—first entered the music scene over 12 years ago with hits such as “Boondocks,” “Bring It On Home,” and “Good As Gone,” but it is their fourth studio album and recent chart-topping release on Capitol Records Nashville, "The Reason Why," that really has people talking. The Dallas Morning News' Mario Tarradell writes, "There's so much vibrant authenticity and heart in Little Big Town's sound." Collectively, the group has earned eight ACM nominations, eight CMA Awards nominations, and, as of late, their fourth Grammy nomination. Currently on tour nationwide, fans can hear their Grammy nominated top Billboard hit “Little White Church” as well as new single, “The Reason Why,” by visiting www.littlebigtown.com.
