Sparta Theatre Opens for Local Family Entertainment

The Sparta Theatre will re-open this weekend with a focus on first run movies, healthier snack choices and employment for area teens. The enhanced movie theater is under new management, the Sacks family, who say they are dedicated to bringing back the family movie experience.

Sparta, NJ, April 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Local movie theater: Dying breed or new “back to roots” trend?

With the state of the economy and world upheaval, it may leave today’s families yearning for things that remind them of simpler times, like natural basic foods, family-friendly entertainment and activities that are close to home. Remember the days when you could find these things in your own home town, without crowds, noise and an assault on the senses? One family, the Sacks, is bringing family entertainment back to Sparta, New Jersey, with the grand re-opening of the refurbished Sparta Theatre.

Offering first run movies and more choices of natural ingredients in their snacks, the Sacks family seeks to employ Sparta area youth and provide entertainment for every generation of residents, including young families, according to Sparta Theatre owner Jeanie Sacks.

“We are hoping to revitalize the theater experience for our town residents and with neighbors like Rita’s Ice and Panera Bread, to offer them a night out without driving miles away and fighting the crowds,” said Sacks. “This is an experience that parents can share with their children that reflects their own childhood memories of going to the movies.”

According to Sacks, the independent theater, once seen as a dying breed with the mega multiplexes at every mall, could greatly benefit from the need for today’s consumer to get back to basics. She says the first run movies at the revitalized theater in May will include Fast Five, Hop, Lincoln Lawyer, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Thor and Kung Fu Panda, with more continuously announced on their website at http://www.thespartatheatre.com.

“We plan to have something for everyone in every age group, but most importantly it’s a safe place for Sparta residents to enjoy themselves,” said Sacks.
