Summer Solstice at the Boulder House

Scottsdale, AZ, April 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Classic Cooking Academy proudly announces "Summer Solstice at the Boulder House," scheduled for June 21st from 11am to 12:30pm.

Experience the Summer Solstice and view the marks by solar interaction with circle and spiral petroglyphs on the grounds of the historic Boulder House in North Scottsdale. A thirty minute tour of this amazing property will be offered during the first hour.

The fundraising event will benefit Classic Cooking Academy’s culinary scholarship program.

Classic Cooking Academy, a 501(c) 3 non-profit, private, post-secondary culinary school based in Scottsdale, is dedicated to providing the best professional culinary education. It is the only school in the country that combines classic French techniques with modern and Native American cuisine to provide a solid foundation for a culinary career.

Hors d’oeuvre and wine reception will start the event, followed by a buffet luncheon, menu as followed:

Hors d’Oeuvres:
Cucumber Cup with Crab Salad
Caprese Bruschetta
Mesquite and Corn Tart with Bean Puree

Luncheon Menu :
Warm Goat Cheese Souffle in Crispy Phyllo over mixed Baby Greens
Sauteed Rainbow Trout with Quinoa & Tepary Bean Salad, Seared Greens and Fresh Pico de Gallo
Spice Rubbed Flank Steak with Potato Salad and Seasonal Vegetables
Dessert:
Chili and Chocolate Cake with Prickly Pear Sauce
Lemon Cornmeal Cake with Strawberry Salad and Lavender Cream

Summer Solstice at the Boulder House is limited to just 60 guests and the cost is $60 per person.
