The Storybook Tea Kit Company Will Participate in the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books

Agoura Hills, CA, April 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Storybook Tea Kit Company, creators of classic tea kit books, announced today that they will have a display booth at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at USC in Los Angeles on April 30th and May 1st.

The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books offers book enthusiasts, families and Angelenos of all ages the opportunity to discover new favorites and reconnect with cherished classics. The two-day schedule is packed with celebrity appearances, live music, cooking demonstrations, author readings, book signings and Q&As. Attendees will find seven outdoor stages in the center of USC's campus surrounded by hundreds of exhibitors and a variety of dining options. Dozens of indoor venues will host lively panel discussions on everything from the Middle East and the economy to the bright lights of Hollywood.“The Festival of Books is the pawfect venue to introduce Alice and her chums to with children and their families,” said Joann Siegel, founder of The Storybook Tea Kit Company.

The Storybook Tea Kit Company (storybookteakit.com) created the tea kit book to help today’s hi-tech child connect and engage in classic literature. Alice’s Pawfect Tea-Party™ (inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Chapter 7 A Mad Tea-Party from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland) invites children to come to tea without their iPad. It is where their imagination through Alice leads them into Wonderland. The original Mad Tea-Party themes are turned into scrumptious delectable edibles. Contents of the classic tea kit include White Rabbit’s Chocolate Pocket Watch, Mad Hatter’s 10£/6 Pence Cookies, Alice’s Drink Me Bottle, Eat Me Candy Cake and March Hare’s Herbal Cinnamon Apple Tea. The keepsake book also comes with an interactive audio CD and the original Chapter 7 A Mad Tea-Party. Children can compare Lewis Carroll’s A Mad Tea-Party with Alice’s Pawfect Tea-Party™. It is this experience that will motivate children to put down their electronic gadgets and be inspired to put a pen in their hand and use their imagination to write their own tea-party on a lazy afternoon.

The Storybook Tea Kit Company will be located in booth #525 at the festival, in close proximity to the Target Children’s Stage that will feature appearances by Mo Willems, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mallory Lewis, Lambchop, The Okee Dokee Brothers and R.L.Stine. Alice’s Pawfect Tea-Party will be on display in a Wonderland themed both, and patrons will be able to experience all aspects of the tea-kit book. The special festival price for Alice Pawfect Tea-Party is $40.00 plus tax (currently available online for $62 including shipping).

Alice’s Pawfect Tea-Party™ is available online at storybookteakit.com for $62.00 including shipping and sales tax.
