Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) Announces a Call for Speakers for Its Latino2 Conference

This full-day summit on the future of Latino digital influence will be packed with advice, insights, and case studies from top technology executives and entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley and the national arena.

Washington, DC, April 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The impact and opportunities of using technology and social media for marketing to the Latino community will be just one of the topics discussed at this year’s LATISM Latino2 Conference, to be held at the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley on June 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Today, Latinos in Social Media [LATISM] is formally announcing a call for sessions to its ongoing event series.

The event will offer an in-depth look at current and developing technology and social media trends as well as best business practices for reaching and engaging today’s digital Latinos. Mark López, Head of US Hispanic for Google, will present the keynote address: The US Hispanic Digital Market.

Proposals for sessions may be on any topic relevant to the following:
- Opportunities In Technology
- Diversity In The Tech Workplace
- Best Practices In Social-Media Marketing And Engagement
- Entrepreneurship: From Concept To Company
- Strategies To Further Your Technology Career

“We hope to create a program with a variety of topics and speakers, while providing attendees with practical knowledge they can start to implement right away,” said Giovanni Rodriguez, Vice-Chair of Strategic Programs for Latinos in Social Media. “Our goal is to help entrepreneurs, companies and organizations to realize the full potential of technology and to take advantage of this momentous time as the Latino community cements its presence in the digital space.”

Deadline for submissions is May 6, 2011. Organizers of sessions will be contacted by the LATISM Board to discuss session details, after providing the following information:

- Session name (brief, catchy, and descriptive).
- Paragraph describing the topic and the track it may fit into
- Organizer’s name, e-mail and telephone number.
- Proposed speaker(s)/panelists. Additional speakers may be added later.
