Anvartec Releases Version 1.1 of SOLight

Augmented Reality Tool to Show the Sun Paths Throughout the Whole Year Offers Full Support for Appleā€™s iPad2

Vienna, Austria, May 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Anvartec today announced the release of version 1.1 of SOLight offering full support for Apple’s iPad2. The user enjoys the advantage of the bigger display mainly when using the augmented reality (AR) Live-View on the new iPad2. Working with SOLight on the larger screen makes it easier and more comfortable.

SOLight shows in a simple and quick way the sun paths throughout the whole year. SOLight is used whenever you want to know how long there is direct sunlight: for an apartment check, for house hunters, architects, photographers and garden planners or to plan the right adjustment for a solar collector.

“Easy handling was our main focus during the development of SOLight,” said Bernd Ruprechter, founder of anvartec. “A quick understanding of the displayed information is crucial for a good workflow.”

SOLight calculates the exact sun paths for your current GPS location. Using the augmented reality view SOLight shows in a simple and quick way the sun paths throughout the whole year. The peak and the lowest point mark the area in which the sun circulates throughout the year.

The overlay of the real "Live-View" with the calculated sun paths generates new information. This is the time frame of the direct sunlight at the current location as well as the difference between the summer and the winter sun positions.

SOLight is available for $3.99 in the U.S. and is priced accordingly in other regions. SOLight is available world-wide from Apple’s App Store for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad2.
