Auscultation Reference Guide for 100 Heart and Lung Sounds

Westborough, MA, May 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- MedEdu, LLC (www.easyauscultation.com) has created a free auscultation reference guide on its web site. Users are presented with a visual index of over 100 heart and lung abnormalities. For each sound, the user can listen to a real or simulated audio recording. Also available are listening tips for each abnormality and a dynamic waveform with synchronized moving cursor. Users can also elect to listen to the auscultation sounds at half speed.

In addition to this Reference Guide, the Easy Auscultation web site offers a comprehensive collection of free auscultation lessons. There are currently 11 courses and 85 lessons available. Each courses takes 10-20 minutes to review. The web site makes extensive use of multimedia to reinforce learning. Lessons include audio recordings of simulated heart sounds, actual patient recordings, textual descriptions, dynamic waveforms of the audio recordings and cardiac animations.

Easy Auscultation’s web site was established in 2009. The firm’s experienced team of physicians and developers have published over 300,000 copies of its auscultation courses for Lippincott, Littmann, Challenger and Prentice-Hall.
