Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre on Target for July 2011 Opening

Shanghai, China, May 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Construction of the largest full-service Marriott-branded hotel in Shanghai is nearing completion as the 720-room Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre prepares to open its doors in July 2011, providing effortless access to the city’s many cultural, entertainment and shopping attractions and accommodating discerning guests and business travellers from around the world.

The hotel has been designed with accomplished business and leisure travellers in mind ensuring guest room essentials are easily accessible. The upscale hotel will feature 42inch LCD televisions as standard with MP3 and laptop connectivity, iPod docking stations, WiFi and Marriott’s "Revive" bedding package. Large size bathrooms will have separate showers and bathtubs featuring soft marble styling with glass finishes. "Man Ho" (267 seats, including 10 private rooms) is an elegant Chinese restaurant which will provide authentic Cantonese cuisine, specialty dishes from Canton set in a rich, warm and inviting environment. "Inagiku,"(129 seats, including 5 private rooms) is a stylish and sophisticated Japanese restaurant that will deliver premium Sushi, Teppanyaki and the famous Inagiku Tempura. "Shanghai City Bistro" (250 Seats) will offer a theater of culinary activity, featuring various kitchens, engaged chefs and vibrant service all wrapped in a comfortable modern and contemporary design. "Java+," (37 seats) a vibrant yet casual street-side outlet will offer fresh coffee, oven baked pastries, juices and grab and go sandwiches. "The Lounge" is set under an expansive glass atrium providing a unique winter garden setting for guests wishing to enjoy a classic Afternoon Tea.

Level 6 will include a luxurious Spa focused on providing superior body and beauty rituals with seven treatment rooms. Fitness enthusiasts will enjoy a 25 meter indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, Steam and Sauna as well as an extensive cardiovascular gymnasium.
