Africa Point Sponsors the 2011 Kenya Safari FAM Trip for Travel Agents

Africa Point has announced a familiarization trip for travel agents and other travel industry stakeholders

Nairobi, Kenya, May 08, 2011 --( Africa Point, an Africa specialist travel agent with a central reservations office based in Nairobi is sponsoring a 7 night/8 day FAM trip for travel agents with two departure dates of June 20 and October 31, 2011. The itinerary ( is designed to take you through Kenya’s most popular game viewing locations.

The tour starts off at Sweet waters - known for its chimpanzee sanctuary before heading to Samburu and Shaba, wildlife havens with a scenic semi-arid landscape. Then to the Aberdares where you find icy rivers, spectacular waterfalls and rain forests. Here elephants, buffaloes and other animals visit you at the floodlit waterholes of The Ark. Then on to Lake Nakuru whose claim to fame is anchored on its flamingos and the over 400 species of birds found here and is also an important refuge for endangered species, particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino.

The tour rounds off at Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous and finest game sanctuary and the site of one of the most spectacular phenomenon of the natural world, the Great Annual Wildebeest Migration. Feted as one of the 'New Seven Wonders of the World,' the Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe. Overnights will be at Sweetwaters Tented Camp, Sarova Shaba Lodge, Treetops Lodge, Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, and Mara Sarova Tented Lodge.

The cost per person is $1,600 for the June 20, 2011 departure with a $300 single supplement and $1,570 for the October 31, 2011 departure with a $150 single supplement.
