Pro-Tect, Inc. (PRTT.PK) Acquires License to Mitigator® Brand Products

Pro-Tect, Inc. (PRTT.PK) announced today that it has entered into a licensing agreement with American Natural Technology Sciences (ANTS) for the marketing rights to Mitigator's® technology.

New York, NY, March 09, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Pro-Tect, Inc. (PRTT.PK) announced today that it has entered into a licensing agreement with American Natural Technology Sciences (ANTS) for the marketing and sales rights to ANTS’ Mitigator® technology. This license shall include ANTS’ US Patent No. 7,166,281 B2 (Pharmaceutical Composition and Method for Relieving Itch, Pain and Swelling Resulting from Insect Bites and Stings), issued 1/23/2007.

ANTS has created, researched, developed and patented a product that could offer permanent relief from a nuisance afflicting three quarters of the world’s population. Mitigator® is now in the final development stage for several other equally unique proprietary, patented and/or patent-pending products.

Prior to a full commercial launch of its Mitigator® brand products, ANTS has expended over one million dollars in research and on consumer surveys (an independent Concentrics report, comparing Mitigator® with the three leading competitors demonstrated a definite preference for Mitigator®). Other research included various categories of retailers to test; packaging configurations, pricing levels and advertising venues.

Researcher assessments and field evaluations performed by the US military indicate that Mitigator® is more efficacious than anything found in the marketplace or now used by the government. Consumers have freely submitted hundreds of unsolicited testimonials from retail marketing tests, including one during a live broadcast of the nationally televised ABC “Regis & Kelly Show”; Regis, after having been attacked by an insect earlier that day, had used Mitigator®. During about 5 minutes of his broadcast, he related the incident, then held Mitigator® for a national TV close-up and said (in part); “Do I love this product - Yes!” This testimonial was unsolicited and totally spontaneous.

ANTS has met the military and US government compliance and designation requirements including receiving their; GSA, NSN, DAPA, NAICS, SIC and CAGE CODE. Orders have been received from; the US Army (approved for all sick call sets), the US Navy Seals, the US Marine Corp., the US Air Force, the US Coast Guard, the Dept. of Agriculture, the US Forestry Service and the National Park Service. ANTS recently received an order from one base with a projected long-term value of over $400,000 and with expectations to double the order within months. Additional Mitigator® products can easily be inserted into military supply channels, utilizing existing designations. Mitigator® is approved for distribution through the military division of Cardinal Health.

Mitigator® has achieved limited retail exposure of its product through Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS.com, Drug store.com, Publix, H.E.B., Brookshire Brothers, IGA and many others. Mitigator® has domestic distribution agreements with McLane’s and Acosta Corp with International distribution through Tri Star Marketing. A major commercial launch of the brand is scheduled for the 2nd Q of this year.

Pro-Tect’s Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Kennedy, stated that “no other granulated product can eliminate venom and/or toxins from skin as effectively as Mitigator®, with or without the use of chemicals. To our knowledge, there is no other product that can immediately stop the urge to scratch insect bites or stings with one’s fingernails (preventing secondary infections) more effectively and, as this is the basis of our patent, there will be no competition that uses the same modality, until Mitigator’s® patent expires in the year 2021. Mitigator® is affordable to consumers, yet maintains excellent profit margins. Mitigator® contains no dangerous or foul smelling chemicals that require debilitating cautions and is even safe for use on children over the age of two.”

In connection with this licensing agreement, Pro-Tech has appointed new officers. The new officer positions are as follows; Jim Ruzicka, President - Patrick Kennedy, CEO - John Grippo, CFO - Cesar Tello, VP Business Development and Craig F. Wells, VP Marketing & Sales. New board Members include Edward Cowle and Natalyia Hearn.

This news release may contain certain forward-looking statements and information concerning the company’s operations, economic performance and financial condition following the licensing agreement with American Natural Technology Sciences. These statements are subject to various risks and uncertainties. Actual results could differ materially from those currently anticipated due to a number of factors. We assume no duty to update these statements at any future date.
