Plano, TX, May 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Cistera Networks® (CNWT.PK), a leading provider of enterprise application platforms and engines for unified communications, announces the release of the Cistera ConvergenceServer ™ (CCS) 1540, the latest in a long line of highly availability application communications platforms.

The CCS 1540 introduces, for the first time, fault tolerance in the base server model. The CCS 1540 will support RAID 10 and dual hot-swappable power supplies in standard configuration. The CCS 1540 will also be the first model to support Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IMPI). This introduces enhanced server, remote access and configuration capabilities to the CCS 1540 platform.

The award-wining Cistera ConvergenceServer is one of the industry’s most comprehensive delivery platform for a robust and scalable solution that adds features and functionality to a communications environment. Each Cistera ConvergenceServer comes equipped with the full range of Cistera application engines, making installation and expansion a simple, straightforward process. The platform’s broad portfolio of virtualized application services enables users to improve satisfaction, increase productivity and collaboration as well as provide a safer environment. Based on open standards and a proven server technology foundation, the Cistera ConvergenceServer’s single unified administration lowers the total cost of ownership of a full-featured communications solution.

“The CCS is easily the most popular communications application server available on the market today with over 1500 servers now operating in North America, Europe Africa and Asia,” says Cistera CEO Greg Royal. “We have some customers who have been running their Cistera servers for over 5 years with zero downtime.”

With fault tolerance enhancements that were traditionally only available on the larger systems now available on the base server model will increase the options that customers have for deployment. “The ability to virtualize different capabilities on a single highly reliable platform has been a reality for our customers for many years,” adds Royal.

The CisteraConvergence Server 1540 is available for delivery now.
