French-Electro Pioneer Kavinsky Showcases New Material at Exclusive London Show in the Run-Up to the Release of His Debut Album Later This Year

Alternative-electro music promoters The Playground play host yet again to the finest French flavoured electro from abroad with exclusive sets from some of the hottest producers, remixers and live acts in dance music including 'Undead' electro producer Kavinsky.

London, United Kingdom, May 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- After the profound release of his latest EP 'Nightcall' representing the sensual, epic and romantic French sound like never before, living dead producer Kavinsky has retreated to work on his forthcoming debut album, due for release later this year with material to be revealed during his set for The Playground's debut event at XOYO. Production of the forthcoming album is being worked on alongside none other than Ed Banger’s prodigy SebastiAn who is about to release his highly anticipated debut album on the 30th May.

SebastiAn’s first single release off the LP is ‘Embody’, which also features remixes from Kavinsky. Receiving masses of hype, Kavinsky’s remix stands out amongst the rest and proves once again why he is still at the top of his game.

Destined to haunt the night for all eternity in new undead form after meeting a grisly demise when driving his beloved Ferrari back in '86, he has since returned to make a name for himself producing dance classics including 'Testerossa' and 'Wayfarer'. Alongside reworks for SebastiAn, Breakbot and Daft Punk to name a few, he has accepted exclusive invitations from electro legends Daft Punk to join their 'Alive’ Tour as well as the likes of The Rapture and Justice.

Main support for this event comes from Ed Banger Electro DJ Feadz (aka. Fabien Pianta) best known for his hip-hop influenced tracks and remixes as well as collaborations with label-mates Mr Ozio and Uffie followed on with the phenomenal, groundbreaking act Hey Today! and Dublin duo Arveene & Misk.

Creating some of the biggest waves in underground dance music right now, these talented artists work hard to tweak various legendary tunes for hipster labels and artists including The Prodigy, Mr. Oizo, Felix Da Housecat, Kitsuné, Zombie Nation, Ed Banger, Gung Ho!, Bang Gang and Tiga's Canadian label Turbo, along with strong remixes for the likes of Boys Noize, Zombie Nation, Empire Of The Sun and Digitalism to name a few. London-based, leftfield, tribal-electro band My Tiger My Timing have quickly carved a reputation for themselves after having been named Beck’s European Newcomer 2010, CMJ’s Spotlight Artist and NME’s Breakthrough Artist of the week, as well as appearances on the Kitsune Maison 8 compilation.

Other acts on the bill for this special event include Tiger Love, Rubicks, Lighthouses, Fish Don't Dance and Punx Soundcheck. Doors open at 9pm and tickets are on sale now via thePlayground.co.uk.
