Long Island Maritime Museum Announces Dates of Annual Pirate Festival

The 2nd Annual Pirate Festival and Classic Boat Show promises to be a weekend full of exciting activities for the entire family.

West Sayville, NY, May 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- As pirate lovers eagerly await the upcoming release of Pirates of the Caribbean 4, the Long Island Maritime Museum announced the dates of the annual Pirate Festival and Classic Boat Show. On Saturday and Sunday, June 11th and 12th, hordes of pirates will descend upon the grounds of the museum, to entertain and delight children and their families.

The event, designated as a “Best Bet” by Newsday in 2008, will feature live entertainment and historical reenactments by Ye Pyrate Brotherhood, Kings of the Coast, The Brigands, Strike the Bell and many more. In addition, there will be pirate costume contests, children’s activities, a thieves market and a showcase of antique and classic boats from the area.

Admission is $8.00 per person, and is free for children ages 5 and under. Museum members who show their membership card will receive discounted admission.
