)-- Long Island’s First Annual Medical and Surgical Weight Loss Expo to be held Saturday, May 21, from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. at the Uniondale Marriott in Hempstead, NY. Presented by South Nassau Communities Hospital and Rajeev Vohra, MD, FACS - New York Bariatrics & Laparoscopy, PC, the expo will provide essential, detailed information about weight loss surgery and medical weight loss programs and how to achieve the maximum benefits of all weight-loss options.
It will be highlighted by a fashion show celebrating and showcasing weight-loss patients (whose combined weight loss is in excess of 1,000 pounds) as well as a “cooking lite” demonstration by weight-loss surgery patient and renowned Head Chef Craig Reid of Sheraton NY Hotel and Towers.
In addition, the expo will feature two interactive seminar tracks focusing on healthcare issues related to obesity, weight loss surgery, revisional weight-loss surgery and life after weight-loss surgery (including plastic surgery and staying on track); more than 50 exhibitors of medically approved and acclaimed weight-loss products, services and specialists; and free healthcare screenings and weight-loss product samples.
