Perth, Australia, May 19, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- A school computer security software supplied to the education and school sector in New Zealand has become the top-selling software for its Australian supplier.
HDGUARD, developed in Europe and supplied throughout the Asia Pacific region by Australian IT Solution provider eye4you Pty Ltd, has been implemented on over 1,000 schools throughout New Zealand since 2003. The current version is installed on school networks exceeding 2,000 computers.
“Most of our other software packages are installed on networks with maybe a few hundred PCs, but HDGUARD has been put into some of the largest schools and universities in the region,” said Kenneth Hart, CEO and founder of eye4you Pty Ltd.
HDGUARD restores computers to their original state with every restart, reducing IT Admin time and the need to reconfigure the system when unwanted changes are made. The software is in use in nearly 1050 schools throughout New Zealand.
“With Windows 7 being implemented on school networks throughout the region, we’re experiencing an incredible demand for the latest version of HDGUARD,” said Tash Marti, Education Manager at eye4you. “And with the recent roll-out of laptops to students, schools will be looking at software like HDGUARD to offer a virtually maintenance-free solution to desktop protection.”
The Windows-based software is ideally suited for multi-computer networks in schools and educational institutions. Cost varies depending on client-count, with an average 100-client network being $29 per PC (Australian dollars, excluding tax) with 12 months of upgrades included.
