)-- Rembrandt Hotel was proud to present its very own contestant in the Miss Travel Daily Competition, Khun Khemjira La-ongnual, Spa Manager, to participate in the Black Box Culinary Team Cooking Challenge, the second phase challenge in the Miss TDA Thailand competition on May 18th.
After the news reporting challenge, it was time for all the ladies to showcase their cooking talents. 40 guests including some of the leaders in Bangkok’s Travel Industry were invited to join the delightful dinner and score the dishes.
The contestants were divided into 4 teams with support from senior Rembrandt Chefs, headed by Executive Chef Andrew Mann, to offer instructions on various cooking techniques. Each team had to prepare and cook an array of dishes including fresh crab & avocado, goat’s cheese & asparagus, Australian lamb & pumpkin or Chocolate & Strawberry dessert.
This followed by a short presentation of the each dish by the respective teams during the serving process. Judging criteria consisted of knowledge of dishes, personnel presentation and passion for cooking. Andrew Mann, Executive Chef, also evaluated each team performance in the kitchen, while maintaining a high quality standard.
Miss TDA Thailand is open to anyone who works in the Airline, Travel & Hospitality Industry in Thailand. Contestants can simply send their photos and provide basic details on their name, Facebook ID and work place. The winner will get 2 return tickets from Air Astana and 5 nights luxury accommodation in one of the fashion capitals of the world, St. Petersburg, Russia.
